I never thought I enjoyed working with my hands until I purchased my first home. I have since learned that I really love to perform home DIY projects and have a "green thumb" in the garden. The home I bought wasn't a fixer-upper, but after I moved in, I realize that it lacked a few features that I had always dreamed of in my home. Instead of going without them, I decided to start thinking of my house as my canvas (I have always loved art!) that I could turn into a great piece of "art", and that finished project would be a home I would love for many years to come.
